WOAH FIGHT BACK YOUR DEMONS
DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOU DOWN
{Matthew Sanctum || 551 WORDS || NOTES}
It was a wonderful Friday evening in Velderoth, and Marilyn Yuusaka found had found herself with the day all to her lonesome. She hadn't had to go and do Aven Guarde things, as today was one of her few days off, so she'd spent the time doing a mix of...
...well, honestly rather boring things. The Guarde was essentially the only thing she had to occupy her time, and as a result Marilyn had spent the day wandering around Velderoth and quite literally talking to herself.
"At the same time though, Satsu, you know full well that'd be a horrible idea," Marilyn stated to her other half, whom rather audibly sighed shortly before responding.
"You have to admit, Mari. It would be really fucking fun," Satsui replied. Marilyn didn't exactly care for how much her other half cursed, but they'd already spent enough nights arguing about it that they both had sort of mutually agreed that it wasn't worth the energy that they were spending to sort of conform the other side to be more fitting to their counterpart. Put simply, they'd basically just decided to get over the more slight differences between them and focus on most anything except for that.
"Fun for you, perhaps, but you forget that I'm the one who ends up suffering all the backlash from your foolish pranks," Marilyn responded in turn, albeit the fact they were having a rational conversation about why Satsui shouldn't just kill someone was a testament to just how strange Marilyn's world had gotten as of late. First there was the whole fiasco near the borders when Ryouko Ashikano had shown up only a few weeks prior, and now she was having an actually logical conversation with the serial killer side of herself.
What is it that's become of me? Marilyn thought woefully as her head drooped slightly.
"I heard that."
"I know you did, Satsui."
On another topic entirely: she was starting to get a bit hungry. Thankfully she'd managed to wander herself into the Market areas of Velderoth, so she had quite the range of choices. Not only that, but she could always stop by the Salty Sailor and get some food there if she really wanted to. Mack always had something cooking for the Aven Guarde and the odd Free Rider or two.
"If we're doing the Sailor then Mack better remember what I want," Satsui stated shortly.
"He always does, Satsu. It's why you haven't killed him yet, remember?"
"Oh... yea that's right. I was wondering why it was I hadn't killed him despite all the chances I've had. Thanks for reminding me."
"Whenever you need it," Marilyn sighed to herself as the decision was almost instantly made. No matter, they would end up at the Sailor rather quickly, it was only about a street down from where they were now, actually.
And so long as nothing crazy happened once they entered, Marilyn may be able to finally go through an entire day without explaining to a cop that it wasn't her fault she was covered in somebody else's blood.
Fun times indeed. It was a good thing she wore red.
