Two Parts of A Whole [Closed;Matthew]

[attr="class","gaignun"]Across the realm-shared skies of the given day would be a small burst of a swift, ebon hue, scoring rapidly across the azure blues of the heavens at impressive speeds. From this same speck along the horizon would a loud, bestial roar be emitted; the sound proud and true as it seemingly threatened to shake the very earth with its cry. The magnificent, black-scaled creature from which it came from scryed the horizon before shifting its flight within a gradual incline leading diagonally upwards. Eventually, it maintained a perpendicular path to the grounds beneath it, continuously gaining altitude as it progressed its skyward venture- though not without at least one shift in behavior.

Once it reached a substantial height above all realms alike, even surpassing the height of both Velderoth and Areis alike, the flighted drake shot through the sea of clouds, seemingly taking several moments to avert into an upside-down position mid-flight. Quickly afterwards, it reappeared from the heavens- though not before another, smaller speck shot through the clouds before it, free falling at an inconceivable rate towards the land-bound realms below. Should a stray rider or adventurer have been scoring through the skies alongside them, they would have noticed the secondary figure to be a young man, with the drake alongside it seemingly looking upon him as prey.

This would be an assumption and observation far from the truth, however.

Several seconds after beginning his potentially deathly free fall back to the realms, Matthew Aaron Sanctum maintained an oddly calm demeanor as he assumed his bliss-induced position. As if he were laying on a bed of his own, he crossed his legs over one another as his hands were comfortably tucked within his pockets. While closed for a majority of the time since his fall, sharpened voids of an emerald radiance would unveil lightly as he cast his gaze upwards, lazily scanning the clouds that grew more and more distant from his being by the second. Spotting the shadow of the very same dragon a fair ways away, he smiled faintly, closing his eyes again as he unfolded his legs and freed his hands, immediately turning his body so that he faced the nearing realms below him.

Before the last quarter of distance between Velderoth and himself was crossed, though, he landed upon the back of the ebony drake, laughing softly under his breath as it brought him within a suddenly smoother descent towards the realm after intervening with his path. "On point yet again, Mor..." he chuckled while patting the neck of the distantly-scarred dragon in approval. "Enough of the daily acrobatics for now, though... Let's take a break, old boy."

Following this, the two went on to complete their descent into Velderoth. Unlike the earlier years in his life, Matthew brought hos reptilian steed to a nearby stable, situating him next to a fair amount of other mounts that remained nearby before venturing into the city. While he was a Free Rider himself, it took him little time at all to find his way towards the commercial districts, due to the fact that the home of the Aven Guarde was practically his home, as well. On the way to one of his more favorite restaurants, however, he vaguely bumped into a particular, ashen-haired girl among the crowd. He looked over at her almost instantly as a result, pausing his own quest for nourishment as he laughed in a light tone, nodding at her and bowing slightly all the while.

"Heh...sorry about that," he said. "Didn't mean to bump into you like that... There's a lot more people here right now than there usually are."
