Aven Guarde
Velderoth
Appearance
Standing at approximately five feet and eight inches tall, Marilyn Yuusaka is a girl commonly known for her presence as a fan-favorite member of the Aven Guarde. She has white hair, and red eyes that normally hold a rather kind and steady gaze.
Normally.
On the flipside of Marilyn’s mental spectrum lies her alter ego, Satsui Bloodborne. A sociopath and killer in her own right, Satsui’s presence in the mental cockpit is almost always identified by a slightly more intimidating look to Marilyn’s entire appearance. An effect that is seemingly accomplished by Satsui’s control alone, much to the chagrin of those who’ve gotten to know only one side of the girl, and would like to keep it that way.
When she’s not on Aven Guarde duty, or just generally out strolling on her own, Marilyn/Satsui wears a red-and-black frilled dress, complete with a small hat, white tights and a simple pair of short red platform heels.
When she’s on duty, she can almost always be seen in the standard Aven Guarde armor, with a pair of clawed gauntlets instead of the normal, standard-issue ones. These gauntlets, named Dhampyr by Satsui- a name which Marilyn has simply gone along with- come to a sharp point on each of the fingers, and the pointed claws that are created are sharpened themselves, creating a rather devastating close-range weapon that allows for all the precision striking of a shortsword or knife, yet still allows for the control and grappling ability provided by other fight weapons. It’s safe to say that both Satsui and Marilyn are capable of putting Dhampyr to rather alarmingly concise use when the situation calls for it.

Personality
MARILYN
As the core personality, Marilyn hasn’t changed a whole lot since her incident.
Well… Some things haven’t changed at least. She’s still the same caring and trustworthy person she’s always been, and will still not even bat an eyelash if a non-suspicious person asks for help, but at the same time she has changed in a few ways under the surface of her outward personality.
After the Incident and the release of her Alter Ego, Marilyn is a good deal more cautious of the situations she gets herself into, careful so as to not let herself slip too far lest Satsui find a way to break into control. She tries to stay away from fights as well if she can help it, not wanting to bear the risk of potentially injuring- or killing- an ally during a sparring session or during training. To that degree she can seem rather uninvested in her training, at least for the more heated portions of the combat training, that is.
SATSUI
The most startling result of the Incident almost a year ago, Satsui is likened as to be the Hyde to Marilyn’s Jekyll in a few ways. For one, Satsui is commonly referred to as being a cold, cruel killer. She regards nothing for the lives of those she finds holding a blade in challenge against her, and has a bit of a less-then-respectful attitude towards authority figures, often acting as though she’s not entirely listening to orders when she very much is.
Mostly because Marilyn is possibly the only person Satsui truly cares for, and by extension the dreams and people Marilyn cares for. Be that as it may, Satsui is much more likely to kill first and THEN ask questions, rather then do the logical thing and not stab the person she’s coercing.
Incidentally, she gets very pissed off when someone simply refuses to give her the answers she wants in interrogational settings. For that reason, she only ends up in them if she’s agreed to keep Marilyn in control, or if the Aven Guarde just really need to scare the shit out of a particular person.
That or they just don’t want them to be able to walk on their own. If Satsui had it her way, that’d be the go-to choice.

History
Born and raised in Velderoth, Marilyn Yuusaka spent much of her life as the prized daughter of an old war veteran who was rather well-liked by those he surrounded himself with. From a young age she was taught many of the virtues shared by those in places of high prestige, such as royalty or other noble classes in society. As a result, Marilyn was found well-mannered, polite, and by far appreciated- sometimes more then neccessary- by many of the younger boys, and sometimes even girls, that she would cross paths with on a near daily basis.
By the time she was seven, Marilyn had already decided that her goal was to become a member of the Aven Guarde, to protect this land of Veldora with everything she possibly had, even if it killed her in the process. While her mother was rather... concerned about how quickly her daughter was willing to lay her life on the line, it was easy to see how she could have gotten it from her father.
Fast forward years later, and Marilyn is listed in as a member of the Aven Guarde at the age of only seventeen. Fueled by her desires and unstoppable drive, she quickly made a name of herself within the ranks, and was soon the object of many a closeted fanclub that met under the cover of night in Velderoth's darker corners.
However, every rose must have its thorn, and even Marilyn couldn't remain flawless for long.
During a routine excursion to the Between, Marilyn was examining a strange new species of flower she had stumbled upon during her patrol. Her curiosity got the better of her, and the flower sprayed a hefty dose of spores in retaliation right at the poor girl. Disoriented by the sudden floral attack, Marilyn accidentally inhaled a few of the spores- which were later proven to be rather potently magical. The resulting effects landed her in a coma for a solid month, drifting between stable and unstable medical conditions as scientists examined the effects on her body as medics struggled to keep her alive.
Internally, however, it was a very different story.
From the moment she had entered her coma, Marilyn had found herself waging a war against herself. Fighting for control of herself against an unknown force from deep within her mind. It wanted blood, it wanted death. It wished to see the universe unravel before it in shock and fear. However, at the same time it would listen to reason. It would converse with Marilyn on the smaller details of the life she had lived, and eventually she won the so-called war, to awaken as one of two halves to a greater whole.
The force identified itself in the coming days as Satsui Bloodborne, and as time passed it became more flushed, more human in nature, although the bloodlust and killing tendencies remained even to this day.
It's been a year since, and between her ongoing career as a solider of the Aven Guarde, and the core personality of a wannabe psychopathic criminal, it's fairly safe to say Marilyn has her hands full.
